I love it when a business plan comes together
As a child of the 80’s, I’ve been rewatching old seasons of the A-Team on Netflix in my spare time. At the end of last night’s episode, Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, the leader of the A-Team, delivers an episode finishing line to the villain he just out maneuvered: “Don’t get yourself a good squad… get yourself a team.” This is, of course, followed by a huge background explosion.
What does this have to do with what we do at Roberts Creative? In business strategy and marketing, all of the pieces need to function as and reflect the whole.
A squad is simply a group of people. A team connotates unity in order to achieve a common goal. There’s a core, unifying DNA that can be sensed in each element. In other words, there’s a recognizable theme of excellence and purpose in every part.
This is branding.
A first class company needs to be complimented by a first class website that reflects it and can be used as an efficient tool. It needs to be represented by a logo that communicates the company or group’s personality and vision. An effective company needs to position itself with a consitent, effective “team” of marketing and business tools that reflects core values and purpose and in turn establishes a strong brand.
I love it when a plan comes together.
